Forward Jonathan Drouin had another solid performance yesterday with three assists in the Habs' 4-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.

It must be said that the Quebecer has been playing very good hockey since his return from injury, and I would even go so far as to say since the new year. He is currently on a 9 game point streak in his last 6 games.

The CH's number 27 admitted that he particularly likes his new trio with Joel Armia and Christian Dvorak, as he explained so well in the post-game press conference yesterday.

"I like playing with the two players I'm playing with now. I've played with Joel in the past, especially in our early years in Montreal. I think we have chemistry, a little bit, on that side. And Christian Dvorak, he's such an easy guy to play with. He takes care of his game for 200 feet. You know he's going to win his face-offs. He's going to be in the right place. It's a simple game, but very useful. It's very easy to play with." - Jonathan Drouin

However, what got more attention was when he talked about the trade deadline with the reality of being an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year. He also discussed his desire for this important day in the NHL.

"I want to be attractive to other teams that want to be in the running for the Stanley Cup. I want to have a chance to go win a Stanley Cup. Every player is going to tell you, the dream is to win the Stanley Cup. It's something I don't control, but I want to be attractive to other teams." - Jonathan Drouin

We always appreciate Drouin's outspokenness, as he never goes out of his way to deliver the bottom line.

He admitted himself that he's doing everything he can to make himself as attractive as possible between now and the deadline, in order to help his GM trade him for a chance to play in the playoffs with a team that can contend for a Stanley Cup.

It's honestly a statement that proves he still cares about his career and is eager to be an impact player in the National League again.

With the trade deadline just two weeks away, we can only wait and see if the 27-year-old's performance will convince a team to acquire his services.

Drouin has 17 points in 31 games so far this season.
