The recent developments on the Canadiens' injured roster indicate that big changes are about to happen in the organization. While we learned today from Martin St-Louis that Joel Edmundson and Joel Armia will be on a four-game trip overseas with the team, this means that their return to action is expected very soon. This important news, however, comes with the arrival of some big decisions for general manager Kent Hughes. With a surplus of defensemen and forwards and being limited to only 23 active players in the lineup, Hughes will inevitably have to make some gut-wrenching decisions. There will definitely be a defenseman between Jordan Harris, Arber Xhekaj, Chris Wideman and Johnathan Kovacevic who will have to make room in the defensive lineup when Edmundson returns. With Joel Armia back in the lineup, there's no doubt Martin St. Louis will want to use the Finnish forward on his fourth line for his defensive skills. In addition to having to decide who will be cut from the current roster, Hughes will have to clear contracts if he wants to meet the 23-man roster limit. So, if there are no additional injuries when the two players arrive in the regular lineup, there are two players who will have to pack their bags for Laval or be placed in a trade. Who do you think should get the axe?

Credit: Habs & NHL
