We fully understand that intensity has to be present at all times, even during training. We don't want to see tourists on the ice, either during games or practices. But there's a difference between being intense and being dangerous. In yesterday's intrasquad game, a sequence involving Joel Armia and Kirby Dach could have turned into a nightmare. The Finn pushed Dach into the goal. You can see on the replay that it took him a while to get up, but according to Marc Denis, the worst was avoided. He was simply furious, and understandably so. Making a dangerous gesture that could cause an injury in an intra-squad match isn't the best thing to do. We know that Armia has to earn his place and he certainly wants to do well, but he'll have to be careful not to go too far. As an aside, the atmosphere was once again electric at the Bell Centre. The fans on hand once again demonstrated why it's so special for the players to be at home.
