In the wake of Samuel Montembeault's fine performances at the World Championship, there's been a lot of speculation as to whether goaltending coach is a role Carey Price would like to play within the organization. Let's not forget that Carey helped Samuel in his preparation, and the result is quite revealing. His game stepped up a notch, helping Canada to the gold medal. However, with the Price family's recent move out west, it's unlikely to happen in the short term. However, number 31 will have a very specific role to play. According to my colleague Alexandre Desrosiers of rumeursdetransaction.com, Carey will be a special advisor, much like Vincent Lecavalier. It's very interesting to see this, especially as Carey's wife has already mentioned that the family will have a property in Montreal to facilitate their work. It's to be expected that Price will still be present in the team's entourage, as he has always had a marked influence within the organization.
