It's all over the place in Philadelphia today, as the team's general manager, Chuck Fletcher, was fired by the organization.

His successor is already known, as former Philly star Daniel Briere will be the Flyers' new GM.

For those who don't know, Briere was the finalist to Kent Hughes to become the Habs GM in January 2022.

Given Hughes' existing relationship with Jeff Gorton, he was the man Hughes trusted to take the job in Montreal.

However, according to behind-the-scenes reports, the former Habs forward had made a very good impression in interviews, which made it difficult for the final choice, even though Hughes technically had a head start in the selection process.
