Being selected 5th overall in the NHL draft doesn't mean you'll be playing in the big league that same year. Although it comes as no great surprise, David Reinbacher is expected to return to Switzerland this season. We've just had a major clue in that direction, as the CH's 5th overall pick will not be present at the NHL's <i>Showcase</i> in Washington. The Tricolore's three representatives are Filip Mesar, Owen Beck and Sean Farrell. The event consists of bringing together the NHL's top prospects for promotion, photo shoots, training and outreach. The fact that Reinbacher, who is currently on Montreal soil, won't be in attendance speaks volumes about the team's intentions for him. Connor Bedard will of course be present. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/renlavoietva/status/1698686071620403487?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1698686071620403487%7Ctwgr%5Eeb34978506f1c0bbcadddeb8602f850bb9eb32ed%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.habsetlnh.com%2FAnnonce-de-derniere-minute-concernant-David-Reinbacher-et-un-gros-indice-vient-de-faire-surface-selon-Renaud-Lavoie-272456'> </a></blockquote></div> To have three hopefuls at this event is something of a rarity, even if the CH is said to be the best-represented team. That's promising for the future, even if it virtually confirms that the Austrian won't be playing for the CH this season. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/HabsInHighHeels/status/1698740591813706128?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1698740591813706128%7Ctwgr%5Eeb34978506f1c0bbcadddeb8602f850bb9eb32ed%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.habsetlnh.com%2FAnnonce-de-derniere-minute-concernant-David-Reinbacher-et-un-gros-indice-vient-de-faire-surface-selon-Renaud-Lavoie-272456'> </a></blockquote></div>
