The Canadiens were expected to lose to the Maple Leafs on Saturday night in Toronto, but they certainly weren't expected to take a beating. It's simple, Martin St-Louis' team was never in the game and the Leafs totally dominated the game, in all facets of the game. It is an unwritten rule in hockey that you don't turn the tables at the end of a game when the game is won. However, Sheldon Keefe saw fit to put his main power play unit on in the final moments, despite the fact that the score was impossible for the Habs to recover. When asked about it, Michael Matheson surprised everyone with his answer: I think you have to be a complete loser to look at that and say oh, but why are you putting your best players in? They're getting ready for the playoffs and giving these guys as many chances as they can to polish their game. I would have preferred that they were given better opposition and needed to use their first wave to win. - Michael Matheson

We've often heard players complain when this kind of thing happens, as if it's disrespectful. Matheson reacted like a true leader instead of complaining and that's a credit to him.
