With just over a month to go before the NHL Draft in Nashville, speculation is rife as to which player Kent Hughes and his team will select. We can try to predict, but the reality is that no one knows - there are just too many imponderables. However, one thing that seems increasingly certain is that the Habs are not interested in drafting Matvei Michkov. Philippe Boucher therefore has a proposal in the scenario where the CH would like a forward: If the CH intends to draft a forward and doesn't want Michkov, I'd trade the Habs pick #5 to back up to about pick #10 (Blues pick) and select Zach Benson. He's so clutch in the big games, he'll become a star player in the NHL. It's an interesting proposition that would give the Tricolore GM a good forward to his liking, plus an extra prospect or pick for agreeing to drop back in the standings.
