Goalies are known for being an eccentric bunch, often having more traditions and beliefs than their teammates. Quebecois goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury is no different.

Fleury has a particularly odd ritual

A recent video shared on social media has people chuckling and talking, as it shows Fleury conversing with and expressing gratitude to his goalposts - in both English and French!

The rationale behind these bilingual expressions of thanks is even more amusing than the act itself. Allan Walsh, Fleury's vibrant agent, explains that the Quebecois goalie wants to be polite to his posts, regardless of their origin:

"I asked Flower why he talks to his goal posts in 2 languages. His response: 'I never know if the steel comes from Quebec or the US. I prefer to be polite and not take any chances.'"

This endearing quirk is characteristic of Fleury's charming personality.

Fans are eager for more interviews with the seasoned goalie, as he consistently offers entertaining remarks. In one game, Fleury tried to challenge Blues goalie Jordan Binnington to a fight, with his mic capturing the entire exchange between him, the opposing goalie, and the referees.

Fleury's lighthearted comment about his hair at the end of the sequence is just perfect!

To celebrate Fleury's delightful demeanour, here's a bonus clip from his time with the Chicago Blackhawks.

His infectious attitude never fails to make fans smile!

As seen on Habsfanatics - Fleury talks to his posts in both languages and the video ignites the web
