Marc Bergevin arrived with the Habs in 2012, when the team was practically destroyed. There was little or no relief left, in addition to having serious gaps in the lineup. When we look at the picture 10 years later, when Kent Hughes took over, we can see that Bergevin did a great job to prepare the ground for his successor. Even though his dismissal was quite direct, he still left Montreal with his head held high and will certainly have another opportunity in the NHL as GM. The process is already underway, as Marc has had an interview with the Penguins. But there are other options for the former Habs GM. According to what Habs Fan TV reports, Bergevin will be the next GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Remember my prediction. Marc Bergevin will be the new GM of the Maple Leafs. Not only has he already held the position in a big Canadian market, he is still frustrated with his firing from Montreal and wants his revenge

Mark my words: Marc Bergevin will be the next Leafs GM. Not only was he GM in a big Canadian market, he's clearly still bitter about his exit from Montreal and would love some revenge. pic.twitter.com/3Pmr701nOf- Habs Fan TV (@habsfantv_) May 22, 2023
It would be really major to see Bergevin with the enemy and at the same time troubling, knowing what he is capable of doing. Nonetheless, we wish him the best of luck in getting a GM job, whether it's with the Penguins or the Maple Leafs, with our fingers crossed that it's in Pittsburgh.
