Two days ago, we had major news that the Kings and Jets had agreed on a deal involving 5 players, including Dubois. All that remained was for the contract to be signed to make the deal official. Since then, we've learned that Kent Hughes has come back to the Jets with a new offer, which has probably slowed down the process. Bad news, though, as Darren Dreger has just declared that Hughes' offer isn't good enough and that Dubois prefers to go to Los Angeles after all. <q>I'm told that the Montreal Canadiens did try to get back in the race for Pierre-Luc Dubois, but they failed to gain any ground. Montreal has future assets, but Winnipeg needs NHL-ready players. LA has that, and it looks like Pierre-Luc Dubois prefers the option of signing with the Los Angeles Kings.
