The Canadiens' 2023 draft has been hotly contested for many reasons, but there is a hidden card. We're talking about a potential steal by Kent Hughes and Nick Bobrov, while Russian defenseman Bogdan Konyushkov was selected in the 4th round. In 64 KHL games last season, Konyushkov tallied 25 points, which is excellent for a defensive rookie. His fine performances have not gone unnoticed, as he has just signed a three-year, two-part contract with Torpedo, his KHL team. This is a long-term project for the Canadiens. This defenseman could really surprise in the NHL if he continues his fine progression. <blockquote class=twitter-tweet><p lang=en dir=ltr><a href=https://twitter.com/hashtag/GoHabsGo?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw>#GoHabsGo</a> prospect Bogdan Konyushkov signs three-year, two-way extension with Torpedo. <a href=https://twitter.com/hashtag/KHL?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw>#KHL</a> <a href=https://t.co/voYUZLGo4g>pic.twitter.com/voYUZLGo4g</a>- Hockey News Hub (@HockeyNewsHub) <a href=https://twitter.com/HockeyNewsHub/status/1675853225017196553?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw>July 3, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src=https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js charset=utf-8> Credit: <a href='https://www.rumeursdetransaction.com/equipe-lnh/canadiens-de-montreal/Un-espoir-du-Canadien-vient-de-signer-pour-trois-ans-en-KHL' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>RDT</a>
