The Arizona Coyotes have become the laughing stock of the NHL, and their fate as a franchise will be decided next month. NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman recently made a request to the taxpayers of Arizona to fund a new rink in the Tempe Entertainment District, but it seems that the people of Arizona are opposed to the idea.

The proposed Arena project would cost an estimated $2 billion to keep the Coyotes in Arizona, and with a vote date set for May 13th, those against the new Arena have made their stance well known. The location where NHL commissioner Gary Bettman was supposed to hold a press conference in Tempe, Arizona, was vandalized with the words "VOTE NO" in multiple areas.

The cities of Tempe and Phoenix have been at odds over the Coyotes' proposal to build a new arena in Tempe. The city of Phoenix does not support the idea, and Tempe has responded with legal action. Currently, the Coyotes are playing at Mullet Arena, a 4,700-seat venue in Arizona State University this season.

The cites of Tempe and Phoenix have been at a feud over the #Coyotes proposal to build a new arena in Tempe. The city of Phoenix does not want them doing it, and Tempe has fired back with legal action."

Personally I'd like to see the Coyotes relocate possibly to Quebec, where they have been trying to bring back the Quebec Nordiques to the NHL and have the money and Arena to do so.
