Once again, the Golden Knights are mismanaging a file and it's making them look bad

The Vegas Golden Knights are slowly building a horrible reputation.

While the team has only been in existence since 2017, there have already been several negative demonstrations from the organization towards certain players, even coaches.

Indeed, everyone remembers the very ordinary treatment the team gave to Marc-Andre Fleury, just after the goaltender won the Vezina Trophy. Max Pacioretty suffered the same fate this summer.

The message is clear. If you're no longer part of the team's plans, even if it's just a matter of payroll, we'll get rid of you.

More recently, defenseman Nicolas Hague gave the team an ultimatum as a restricted free agent. Not only have the Knights not offered him a contract, discussions have been stalled since July.

The Ontario defenceman is not laughing, as he has confirmed that he will not attend the team's camp if he does not have a contract.

It doesn't seem like things are progressing right now between the Golden Knights and Nicolas Hague on a contractual level.

I'm told there has been ''very little dialogue since the beginning of July.

Hague is in Vegas, ready for the start of training camp on September 21, but his clan is "concerned about the lack of communication.

My understanding is that if no deal is reached by then, he will not report to Golden Knights camp and will train elsewhere."
