P.K. Subban is still waiting for an NHL contract. Although the defenseman will be starting PK's Places in the next few months, where he will be the headliner, there is nothing stopping him from playing field hockey in the meantime, even though he has never closed the door on a return to the ice. Subban may get a call soon, as Bruins general manager Don Sweeney gave a pretty telling hint: « We have a final decision to make. I don't know at the moment. There's a player waiting right now. We talked to several guys and several decided to go elsewhere since there were better opportunities for them. - Don Sweeney

Obviously, when Sweeney says there is a player on standby, we think directly of P.K. Subban. With Charlie McAvoy, Matt Grzelcyk, Mike Reilly and Jakub Zboril all expected to miss the start of the season, the Bruins need to move pretty quickly. Let's stay tuned.
