There was a lot of action yesterday during a QMJHL game between the Quebec Remparts and the Shawinigan Cataractes.

Head coach and general manager Patrick Roy took a swipe at the opposing coach, Daniel Renaud, accusing him of asking his players to hit his team, especially with their sticks.

At one point in the game, the former Canadiens legend climbed up on the glass to berate his Shawinigan counterpart. The officials also went through Roy's wringer and he exploded with rage at the Cataractes' actions.

It even continued into the press room:

"I hope the league investigates. To see a coach hiding behind his players, asking them to slash harder, it has no place in our league anymore. We heard him give these instructions to the players. It tarnishes the image of our league." - Patrick Roy

To which Renaud countered with this:

"He [Patrick Roy] must have very, very good ears. Considering the two panels of glass that separate the two benches, there is no noise that goes from one side to the other. Zero. I can't hear anything from the opposing bench and there's no way anyone could hear any commentary from our bench. There's no way. Either way, it's not true."
