The Tricolore held its first informal training session of the season this morning in Brossard. The cameras caught images of players like Jake Allen, Nick Suzuki, Kirby Dach, Cole Caufield, Arber Xhekaj... and a certain Paul Byron. Indeed, the former CH forward, who is out of contract, should theoretically not be on the ice, let alone dressed as a coach in the Canadiens' colors. From our point of view, he could possibly acclimatize himself with new duties to come. We know that Byron wants to stay in Montreal. His family is settled here, and although he has said he won't be announcing his retirement anytime soon, a position as development coach or assistant to Martin St-Louis could be ideal for him. In any case, it's good to see him on the ice, and it's also good of the organization to let him skate with the players.
