The Edmonton Oilers are in hot water right now. This club is absolutely nothing without their two star players, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. These two have been single-handedly dragging their club for years, they even dragged their team to the association finals last year. That being said, when one of them is absent, it really hurts the performance of this team. Unfortunately, this is what seems to be happening with the Oilers, as Leon Draisaitl hasn't played since December 27th. Moreover, a journalist from Edmonton made a big statement about the number 29, mentioning that he has not been at top of his form since the beginning of the campaign. The Oilers are already struggling to maintain a playoff position, currently ranked 8th in the West, with Colorado looming right behind them. If Edmonton were to lose Draisaitl for several games, even if they have the best player in the world in McDavid, we don't give a damn about the Oilers. In addition, it must be said that by having the two best scorers in the league in this team, a season of the Oilers is a failure if they do not win the Stanley Cup. Now imagine if the team didn't even make the playoffs with possibly the two best players in the world on their roster.

Credit: GoNordiques.com
