Recently, Jonathan Berggren was involved in a near-death experience. He almost had a terrible accident in Sweden.

A Miraculous Escape

According to reports and what Berggren himself said, the 22-year-old player had a very scary experience with a tram.

Jonathan Berggren faced a near-death experience a week before the 2023 IIHF World Championship while heading to a practice with Team Sweden in Gothenburg.

The young forward was nearly struck by a tram while crossing the street to the rink with teammates. Berggren reportedly had headphones on and didn't see or hear it approaching, while the tram couldn't fully brake in time. This resulted in him having to dive out of the way at the last second to avoid being trampled. His teammates claimed it was terrifying.

Jonathan Berggren, who's only 22, said that it was the "first and hopefully last near-death experience for me." He went on to score 7 points in 8 games at the tournament.

Berggren got lucky! Let's hope he looks at both sides of the street before crossing next time.
