Tonight the Dallas Stars have finally provided an update on the health of forward Roope Hintz after he took a puck off of the face last night against the Edmonton Oilers.

Last night a terrifying scene developed as Dallas Stars forward Roope Hintz was rushed to the hospital after being hit in the face by a shot from Adam Henrique.

In the hours following the incident, the only update provided by the Stars was that Hintz was sent to the hospital for further evaluation and that they would provide another update once the proper tests were done.

Then almost 24 hours passed without any kind of update from the Stars or their medical staff regarding the health and safety of Hintz and his diagnosis after the incident.

Now tonight Dallas Stars head coach Pete DeBoer has finally given an update on Hintz's health and road to recovery after being admitted to the hospital.

Pete DeBoer Shares A Positive Update On The Health Of Roope Hintz

During a press conference before their game tonight against the Vancouver Canucks Pete DeBoer finally was able to give an update on Hintz's health.

According to DeBoer, Hintz flew back to Dallas today for further evaluation but at the moment they do not believe his injuries will keep him out long-term.

This is great news for Hintz and the Dallas Stars as the injury at the time seemed a lot more serious than it currently has turned out to be with Hintz likely only to miss a couple of games.

As he returns to Dallas the Stars will be in Vancouver to take on the Canucks the team has confirmed they will re-evaluate Hintz after they return home before heading out to Colorado and Winnipeg in the coming days.

It remains to be seen whether Hintz will re-join the Stars on their road trip or end up being out the next three games and return when the Stars come back home against the Anaheim Ducks on March 18th.

Regardless of how long he is out this is great news for Hintz as he seems to have avoided the worst case scenarios.
