Montreal Canadiens fans are notoriously hard on opposing players. As has often been the case, the best players of the teams that face the Tricolore are booed by the spectators in the stands of the Bell Centre. Such was the case on Saturday night with Connor McDavid of the Oilers, who is considered one of the 2 or 3 best players in the world. The speedy forward was booed by Habs fans, and it didn't go down well with a well-known figure in the hockey world.
