In the hearts of the fans, Samuel Montembeault deserves the number-one goalie spot, and it's almost unanimous. Jake Allen is a good veteran, but recurring injuries are starting to slow him down. It remains to be seen what the organization will decide. Speaking of injuries, Samuel was on the BeFocus podcast and told us a good one about his fellow goalie. Yeah. He's 100%. He'd hurt his back, but now he's okay. - Samuel Montembeault, on Jake Allen Knowing Samuel, his kindness and his good intentions, I'm sure he didn't mean any harm by divulging such information. However, number 34's back injury was still unknown to the public, so he was the one who reported it, despite himself. Let's just hope that the pain doesn't return in Allen's case, and that he remains fully healthy throughout the season. As for Monty, let's hope the organization can forgive him for this little slip-up. It's ridiculous the way injuries are managed in the NHL, when even a small revelation about the nature of an injury becomes frowned upon very quickly.
