Tomas Tatar is a touted UFA this offseason, and his new agency representing him might have given us a peak into where he might sign.
Tatar to the Island?
Tatar has just signed with a new agency known as Newport Sports Management. What is most interesting about him joining the agency is who else they represent. Tomas Tatar is now represented by Newport Sports Management who also represent Josh Bailey, Cal Clutterbuck, Casey Cizikas, Matt Martin, Bo Horvat, J.G. Pageau, Zach Parise.... Errr, he may not be going very far... #NJDevils #Isles

Could the Isles Make it Work?
Tatar will be expecting decent pay, being a veteran NHLer who still managed to put up 20 goals and 28 assists last season with the Devils. It is likely that he will sign for around the same AAV as his previous contract or a little less given his age. Rumour has it that he is looking to stay in the East.

The Islanders aren't in the best cap situation, so acquiring Tatar would be no walk in the park. However, Lou is never afraid of signing veterans to decent-sized contracts, so the Isles could certainly be in the running to land Tatar.
