DeBrincat in Detroit?

The possibility of Alex DeBrincat going to the Detroit Red Wings has been circulating, and it's said that the discussions are at an advanced stage. Now, Brannstrom's name is also being mentioned, possibly as an extra incentive to make the deal more appealing to Detroit.

It's surprising that a newcomer like MacEwen has secured a spot on the team while established players like DeBrincat and Brannstrom are noticeably absent.
