Injured in the lower body just before the preliminaries when he and Joel Edmundson collided on the ice, Nick Suzuki was finally able to suit up and play a first game on Tuesday night. The captain looked very good, picking up two assists. He didn't look rusty, in fact he looked like he had been playing all summer because it looked so easy. However, the Habs issued a medical update earlier today. Joel Armia, Emil Heineman and Nick Suzuki are all out with upper body injuries and did not travel with the team to the Maritimes, where they will play their next two games against the Ottawa Senators.

As mentioned above, Nick's pre-camp injury was to his lower body, so this is a new injury. Hopefully it's not too serious as he will be evaluated on a day to day basis. Of note: Suzuki has not missed a game in the last two seasons.
