Weaving through the cheerful atmosphere of the NHL Awards night in Nashville, even Connor McDavid, the biggest winner of the evening, experienced some playful teasing, by making fun of Flames fans.

The fun continued beyond the stage when McDavid, the star of the night, was asked about the engagement ring he recently gave to his fiancée, Lauren Kyle.

The inquirer happened to be nine-year-old Knox Bentley, the delightful son of the show's host and country music superstar, Dierks Bentley.

With mischievous delight, young Knox delivered a clever punchline that sparked laughter throughout the audience:
