The NHL's Department of Player Safety has made a decision regarding a dirty hit by Matt Rempe on Jonas Siegenthaler of the Devils.

NHL Suspends Matt Rempe for Multiple Games Due to Siegenthaler Incident



Rempe was widely criticized for elbowing Siegenthaler last night. Watch what happened here:




The league has officially announced their decision for Rempe: he will be suspended for four games.


Rempe played only 10 games in the NHL, but has been ejected twice. He also tallies 54 PIMs, averaging more than five minutes per games.
