During Sunday afternoon's game between the Rangers and the Islanders in New York, defenseman Ryan Lindgren had to be helped off the ice by his teammate.

Pageau and Lindgren were battling for the puck and ended up crashing into the boards.

His leg bent in an unusual way, forcing him to leave the game.

Losing Lindgren would be tough for the Rangers. While they have other talented defensemen on their roster, they'll need all the help they can get for the upcoming playoffs.
