The Chicago Blackhawks are playing the Arizona Coyotes tonight in a matchup that could have big implications for the draft lottery. However, the players on the ice only care about the game at hand and that showed.

Dumba Lays Out Bedard With Huge Hit Along The Boards

Connor Bedard is a rookie this season and it has shown at times. He has been somewhat negligent of the physical nature of the league, leading to him taking unnecessary hits, such as when he broke his jaw. Tonight he took another big hit from Matt Dumba but luckily, the result was quite different as the rookie center seemed to be no worse for wear.

Luckily for the Blackhawks, Bedard has been in peak form tonight as he already has a multi-point night thanks to two helpers, both earned on the man advantage.

Coyotes Looking To Trade Veteran Defenseman

Tonight's hit on Bedard could be one of Dumba's last as a member of the Coyotes organization as the team is reportedly looking to move him at the trade deadline. However, the price may be too much for many teams to pay as they are apparently asking for a 1st round pick in return for the 29-year-old.

Dumba has just 4 goals and 9 points this season, as his steep decline in his offensive production has continued. He once scored 50 points with the Minnesota Wild back in the 2017-18 season. One team the veteran has been linked to is the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are in desperate need for another right-shot defender.

We will just have to wait and see what is next in store for Dumba.
