Earlier this week the Vancouver Canucks announced surprising news that JT Miller would be leaving the team and now we have a major update on his return.

The Vancouver Canucks have had a difficult start to their season as they have underperformed the expectations of fans and the media.

Earlier this week things got even worse for the Canucks as it was announced that star forward JT Miller would be returning home and taking time away from the game of hockey.

At the time of the announcement was playing well despite the lack of team success tallying 16 points in 17 games.

This has made his absence all the more strange and concerning to many fans.

Since the announcemenet was made reports have come out indicating that JT Miller is dealing with burn out and overall mental health maintenance while he is away from the team.

This evening a new report from Elliotte Friedman has now provided a timeline for JT Miller to make his much anticipated return.

Elliotte Friedman provides an update on JT Miller's return

During his new 32 Thoughts Podcast and article Elliotte Friedman spoke about the JT Miller situation after speaking to sources around the league.

According to current reports of the situation JT Miller could come back early in December after the Canucks end a six-game road stretch they are on.

Wishing JT Miller the best; don't expect to see him until the Canucks return from a six-game road trip ending Dec. 3 at the earliest. It appears as if this is as much about «burnout» as anything else for one of the NHL's most fiery players.

At the moment this is just a projection from Elliotte Friedman and just like any other injury or health situation could change at a moment's notice.

We continue to wish JT Miller all the best as he continues to work his way back on to the ice with the Vancouver Canucks.

Hopefully over the next couple of weeks more positive and encouraging updates will be provided on JT Miller and his health and return.
