The NHL trade deadline is already a chaotic day for players, especially since they are unsure where they will end up after the deadline passes. Unfortunately, sometimes they end up on a team where they don't have great relationships with leadership.

According to Elliotte Friedman, that is what happened to Ryan Johansen when he was traded from the Colorado Avalanche to the Philadelphia Flyers.

Gautier Drama Still Impacting Tortorella And the Flyers

The Gautier drama of wanting a trade before even playing with the Flyers looks to still be lingering around the Flyers if what Friedman said is true, as they sent down a mediocre centreman who could contribute to the Flyers' offence. However, there are obviously other considerations at play as well that aren't likely known by the public.


We will see if Johansen and Tortorella can put their issues behind them, and if he can get a call up to the Flyers any time soon.
