The controversial Philadelphia Flyers' goaltender Carter Hart could sign a contract in Russia, according to a new rumor.

Hart was among the five members of the 2018 Team Canada Junior at the World Junior Championship to face charges for a crime.

According to a new rumor, Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart could sign a contract in Russia to pursue his profesionnal hockey career.

A new post on X shed light on the possibility of seeing Carter Hart signing a contract in Russia.

However, as someone added in the comments, he's not eligible to play outside the US while the trial goes on. But when the procedures will have ended, and if he doesn't go to jail, it wouldn't be surprising to see him try to pursue his hockey career in the KHL, just like Dillon Dube, Cal Foote, Michael McLeod and Alex Formenton.

"He is not allowed to play outside the country while on charge & prior the trial. Thereafter though, depending on the ruling & politics surrounding the situation, I could see him playing in Russia."

We don't know what will happen for Hart, Dube, Foote, McLeod and Formenton's hockey careers in the NHL. However, it was confirmed by the NHL commissioner Gary Bettman that they'll make an official decision after the legal procedures.

Stay tuned for any updates.
