Gary Bettman strikes again, this time regarding Milan Lucic, as it appears the former Boston Bruin will no longer be allowed to play in the NHL. Milan Lucic has been seen training in New Jersey this summer as he was really trying to get in shape to begin a new NHL season. He's currently ineligible to play in the league due to his arrest last year after he was charged with battery and assault. Due to this, Milan Lucic took an indefinite leave of absence from the Boston Bruins after his arrest and he never returned to them. His contract expired on June 30th and he's now an unrestricted free agent (UFA).

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman needs to clear Milan Lucic to be able to return to the league, and Bettman has not done that and there does not appear to be any indication he's going to do that any time soon, which means Lucic may not ever play again in the NHL. He has now entered the NHLPA Player Assistance program not that long ago. Details will follow as information breaks.
