Hockey is coming to Salt Lake City in 2024-25, and now it appears as though they've trademarked another two names for their fans to decide upon. On a recent podcast appearance, Ryan Smith, the owner of the new NHL team in Utah revealed that they will be doing an eight name bracket for the fans to decide upon. Now, it appears as though those eight names have been confirmed, with Utah Jazz beat writer Ryan Miller revealing the finale two names that have been trademarked, taking the list to 8; <q>The full list is now Utah Mammoth, Utah Ice, Utah Yetis, Utah Venom, Utah Fury, Utah Blizzard, Utah Outlaws and Utah Hockey Club (or Utah HC).</q> <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/millerjryan/status/1783140537400512754'> </a></blockquote></div> There's certainly been mixed reactions to some of them, but the passion is already clear, with many mockups of these potential names being posted to social media already. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/JazzePinkman/status/1782472406612996099'> </a></blockquote></div> It's unclear yet whether Smith and the ownership group will officially announce the bracket for their naming, or whether he will backtrack on his comments from the Pat McAfee Show, but for now it appears as though we have all of the potential options.
