The Anaheim Ducks may have lost their Pacific Division showdown with the Seattle Kraken, but Radko Gudas made it one to remember with a monster hit.

Hitting in the open ice has become rare in the NHL these days, with most big hits delivered on the boards, but on Friday night, Radko Gudas turned back the clock with a beauty on Brandon Tanev. With Tanev skating the puck towards the blue line, Gudas delivered a throwback hip check in the open ice, flipping Tanev in the process in something that hasn't been seen in the NHL in quite some time.

Don't see hits like that much anymore.

While neither team is in a playoff spot, Tanev got the last laugh when his Kraken went over the Pacific Division rival Anaheim Ducks 3-1, but this is what the veteran was brought to the Ducks to do, and he's certainly showed he's still capable of the highlight reel hits. Most importantly, there was no charging involved in the hit and Gudas didn't need to leave his feet, so not only was it a physical hit, but it was also very clean, something that some NHLers aren't great at doing at this point.
