Cutter Gauthier, a top prospect of the Anaheim Ducks, is under heavy scrutiny after his team posted a video of him where he used the wrong choice of words.

The Ducks' goal of this video was to let their fans get to know their teams' top prospect a little better. The Ducks had just traded for him this year after they made a deal with the Philadelphia Flyers. That trade had ready raised some eyebrows, and after today's shocking events, many more are starting to wonder if Philly knew something everyone else didn't about him, which could be why they traded him.

A simple pregame meal but a tricky Starbucks order.

Get to know our guy Cutter!

The video sadly backfired for the Ducks. While many fans were happy to get to know Cutter, there was a part of the video where he referred to himself as "a chick" regarding what he orders at Starbucks. People began to slam Gauthier online, calling him a misogynist, and trying to get him cancelled.

he needs pr and a gender studies class so bad 😭😭😭

«I'm a chick when it comes to that stuff»

We dodged a bullet, friends.

This was likely just an honest mistake by a young player trying to adapt to a new league and a new lifestyle. The Ducks organization will likely provide Gauthier with some PR training in the hope that he will avoid making a similar mistake again down the road, so that he doesn't get cancelled.
