After missing two crucial games, Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand has opened up on the Sam Bennett his that has him on the sidelines. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are a physical marathon for those involved, and on Thursday, Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand finally addressed the collision with Sam Bennett that has forced him to miss the last two games. Brad Marchand on Sam Bennett's punch: «I think he got away with a shot. But I'm not gonna complain. Shit happens. I've been on the other side of a lot of plays. That's part of the game, part of playoff hockey. Sucks to be on the other side of it, but that stuff happens.

The hit came in game three, and while it originally appeared as though Bennett simply braced for a hit from Marchand, upon closer inspection there is certainly some credence to the complaints that it was a dirty hit.

Regardless, Marchand's response was classy and understandable, as he didn't take a shot at the veteran forward, but instead understood that he has been on the other end of plenty of plays such as that, so it appears there's no grudge being held. Whether or not we see No. 63 back on the ice this series is up in the air for now, but if not it will be a tough way for Marchand to go out of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoff race.
