Martin Pospisil from the Calgary Flames landed himself in some trouble for dishing out a brutal elbow straight to the head of Josh Morrissey from the Winnipeg Jets
Thursday night. It happened with just 43 seconds left in the second period during Calgary's 5-2 loss.

Initially, the refs only slapped Pospisil with a minor penalty, but after reviewing the footage, they saw that it was a direct hit to the head
and upgraded it to a major penalty and a game misconduct.

This isn't his first time he was ejected this season Back in March, he got himself a three-game suspension for another reckless hit on Seattle's Vince Dunn.

He owned up to it, admitting he's still learning the ropes in the league. He even expressed some remorse for injuring Dunn and wished him a speedy recovery.
Despite the setbacks, Popisil has been holding his own this season, recording eight goals and 20 points in 55 games.

The 24 year-old Slovakian was drafted by the Flames back in 2018 and recently locked in a two-year, $2 million deal in February. Looks like he's got a lot of potential, but he needs to control those elbows!
