Martin Pospisil from the Calgary Flames landed himself in some trouble for dishing out a brutal elbow straight to the head of Josh Morrissey from the Winnipeg Jets Thursday night. It happened with just 43 seconds left in the second period during Calgary's 5-2 loss. Initially, the refs only slapped Pospisil with a minor penalty, but after reviewing the footage, they saw that it was a direct hit to the head and upgraded it to a major penalty and a game misconduct.

This isn't his first time he was ejected this season Back in March, he got himself a three-game suspension for another reckless hit on Seattle's Vince Dunn.

He owned up to it, admitting <a href='he's still learning the ropes in the league' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>he's still learning the ropes in the league. He even expressed some remorse for injuring Dunn and wished him a speedy recovery. Despite the setbacks, Popisil has been holding his own this season, recording eight goals and 20 points in 55 games. The 24 year-old Slovakian was drafted by the Flames back in 2018 and recently locked in a two-year, $2 million deal in February. Looks like he's got a lot of potential, but he needs to control those elbows!
