Joel Quenneville breaks silence and speaks on the Blackhawks scandal

The Chicago Blackhawks have been mired in controversy over the past few years, and now it has been teased that Joel Quenneville could leak more information on the past scandals.

The Chicago Blackhawks are still trying to make right the scandal involving Kyle Beach. Now, head coach at the time Joel Quenneville has opened up on the Cam and Strick podcast that he has been in touch with Beach, a major development in the situation.





Quenneville also opened up about other scandals during his time with the Blackhawks, including that of Brad Aldrich. Quenneville recognized that he could have done more in those situations.



Joel Quenneville has not returned to coaching since his departure in 2021-22. It is not clear if he wants to return to the NHL or not, this interview seems like a good first step in cleaning up his name if that is the direction he wants to go.

It is likely that if he does want to return, he will have to get the greenlight from Gary Bettman and the NHL, similar to how the process played out with Corey Perry and the Blackhawks this year.
