The Blackhawks landed Tyler Bertuzzi this off-season in free agency, but after he shared this opinion about their food, the fans may have some feelings about him.

There's several things that the people of Chicago take seriously; one of those is sport and the other is their food, particularly deep dish pizza, a take on pizza that is rarely seen beyond the city. Unfortunately, Tyler Bertuzzi didn't quite get the message about endearing himself to the fans in his new city, as he shared this opinion about the pizza recently.

"I had a deep-dish...I'm not a fan of it.

Yeah, it's just different, yeah.

I like...just normal pizza."

The answer was met with laughs, and in time, the fans will grow to love Bertuzzi and laugh along with his antics too, but early in his career with the Blackhawks, this definitely isn't the way to win over his new fans. However, he's expected to play on a line with Connor Bedard this season, and given how the city has fallen in love with the 19-year old star, it's safe to say he can win them back fairly easily alongside the new face of the franchise.

As fans in Detroit, Boston and Toronto found out, there's few more likeable players in the NHL than Tyler Bertuzzi, so lets just hope his play on the ice in 2024/25 is a little stronger than his love (or lack thereof) of deep dish pizza.
