This afternoon reports are coming in that the Colorado Avalanche have boosted their defensive unit by signing Swedish defenseman Oliver Kylington. While most of the NHL free agents have found new homes today one of the best players left available found a new home. Former Calgary Flames defenseman Oliver Kylington has decided to sign with the Colorado Avalanche on a one-year deal. We have signed Oliver Kylington to a one-year contract. $1.05M

This will be a fresh start for Oliver Kylington who has struggled with injuries throughout the last several years. From the beginning of his NHL career in 2018-19 Oliver Kylington has only been able to put together one season where he played over 70 games. In Colorado Oliver Kylington will be able to play more of a depth role and hopefully stay healthy which will lead to more contributions from him. It will be interesting to see which pair the Avalanche end up putting Oliver Kylington on. Either way he will now have an opportunity to continue his career and further develop his game.
