Assistant coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets and Hall of Fame former NHL player Mark Recchi has been advised that he will not be returning to the team. <a href='https://www.hhof.com/induction_archives/ind17Recchi.shtml' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Mark Recchi</a> has won three Stanley Cups in his NHL career, and unfortunately has only spent one season with the Blue Jackets before this firing announcement was made today. Recchi joined the team last September after Columbus had to clean up the Mike Babcock mess. Recchi still had one year remaining on his contract with the team. The Blue Jackets have not revealed who will be taking over as Dean Evason's assistant for next season. The Blue Jackets other assistant coach, Steve McCarthy, appears to be a lucky one keeping his job, as reports coming out today have revealed that the team has no intention of letting him go. There still haven't been any public announcements made by the team yet regarding McCarthy's status. Another one of Columbus' assistant coaches will also be returning, that being Jared Boll.
