Elliotte Friedman revealed that the Vancouver Canucks defenseman Carson Soucy could get suspended for his dirty cross check on Connor McDavid last night in game 3.

After the final whistle, Connor McDavid slashed Soucy and as the Canucks' defenseman was going to retaliate, Nikita Zadorov came in from behind and hit McDavid in the back. Right after the hit, Soucy accidentally landed his cross check on McDavid's face.

"McJesus got ABUSED at the end of the game 😳"

Getting physical with Connor McDavid has a price and Carson Soucy is about to find out.

The Department of Player Safety will hold a phone hearing with Soucy to determine the consequences he'll face.

Per Elliotte Friedman:

"Sounds like there will be a hearing for Carson Soucy out of the end-of-game scrum in Edmonton last night"

Many people believe that McDavid himself is the ivestigator, being the first one to strike Soucy. Even Zadorov looks more accountable for the whole thing.

As for him, he was fined $5,000 for his cross check from behind:

"Nikita Zadorov has been fined $5,000 for cross-checking Connor McDavid at the end of Game 3."

Do you think the NHL would make a mistake by suspending Carson Soucy for his hit on Connor McDavid?
