The Edmonton Oilers are on the brink of elimination in game six at home, and now their captain has addressed his mindset going into a crucial battle.

After a disappointing finish in game five on the road, the Edmonton Oilers must now beat the Vancouver Canucks to send this game back to a winner-take-all game seven, and this team knows the pressure they face. Ahead of the game, Oilers captain Connor McDavid has addressed what they need to do to win this game, and unsurprisingly, he kept it short and sweet;

I can stand up here and give you guys all the cliches you want to hear, but we gotta win one game tonight and that's what it comes down too.

It's clear that this team is frustrated with the way they've played in this series thus far, and with all the odds stacked against them, they're keeping it simple ahead of a must-win game. While the goaltending hasn't been stellar in this series, the offense has struggled too, but it hasn't stopped the optimism of Oilers fans, who will pack the arena for potentially their last home playoff game this year.

With the series on the line for one team, absolutely anything can happen, and with so much skill all over the ice in this series, this should be a game for the ages.
