The Edmonton Oilers are off to another terrible start to their season and ahead of tonight's game against the Chicago Blackhawks Corey Perry called out his teammates.

The Edmonton Oilers have dug themselves yet another early season hole after starting 0-2. After making the Stanley Cup Finals last season the Oilers have started out horrifically after an embarrassing loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. After a terrible effort, the Blackhawks lost 5-2 allowing Teuvo Teravainen to put up 4 points.

The end result meant two straight games where the Edmonton Oilers gave up 5 plus goals. This is a trend that was seen last season under former head coach Jay Woodcroft before Woodcroft was fired. Now the Oilers seem to be back to their old struggles.

After last night's contest against the Blackhawks Corey Perry spoke to the media. He spoke about what needs to change against their Alberta rival the Calgary Flames. Despite not joining the Oilers until later Corey Perry still knows last season was unacceptable. Corey Perry who did not hold back when sharing his frustration with his teammates.

Corey Perry goes on a frustrated rant after the embarrassing loss to the Blackhawks

After the game last night, Corey Perry was one of the players sought out by the media. At his locker, Corey Perry showed clear frustration as he spoke about the Oilers' start and how they cannot let a repeat of last season happen.

The Edmonton Oilers will have an opportunity to get right back on track tonight against the Calgary Flames. If they are going to pull out a win the Oilers need to have better defensive play all around. Even with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl's star power the Oilers can't consistently win high-scoring games like they have attempted to do.

With the game about to get underway within the hour, all eyes will be on every Oilers player. If they fall again it could be time to hit the panic button already.
