This afternoon Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane took to social media to share his opinion on the fights and intensity between Canada and the USA at the 4 Nations Face-Off. Last night, the 4 Nations Face-Off reached a new level of intensity, leading the entire hockey world to speak out on the fights and chaos that ensued. With many fans both hockey die-hards and more casual loving the events and intensity that was seen from both countries the overall impression of the tournament has been incredibly positive.

Today a new post on X from Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane has brought yet another voice to the conversation as he gives a unique perspective as a player who this week is just watching like any other fan would be.
Evander Kane Gives His Honest Opinion On The Fights At The 4 Nations Face-Off
After watching the 4 Nations Face-Off fights involving several star players like the Tkachuk brothers and J.T. Miller many fans are split still on the place of fighting in hockey. The casual fans seem to be all on board for fighting at all levels of hockey while some of the longer-term fans want to see fighting limited or banned altogether. Today Evander Kane gave his voice to this debate and strongly believes fighting still has a place in the game of hockey both as a tactical advantage on the ice and a marketing tool to bring in fans.

Kane seems to not only fighting to continue in the game of hockey but to have a resurgence in the NHL and international hockey overall. Of course, Kane himself is known for being a power forward who is not afraid to drop the gloves similar to the styles of the Tkachuk brothers. While this is not a surprising take from Kane he is one of the few current NHLers to speak out in favor of fighting in hockey. Many current players either are pushing fighting out of the game or at the most do not comment on the state of things. Kane falls at the other end of this now becoming one of the voices still pushing for the art of fighting to stick around in professional hockey.
