The Winnipeg Jets are in on trade conversations but have expressed that four players cannot be traded. Nine points clear in the NHL standings, the Jets still look to shore up their middle-six forward and defense leading up to the NHL's trade deadline.

According to Murat Ates of 'The Athletic', though, GM Kevin Cheveldayoff has expressed that four players are off limits to being traded by him.
Perfetti, Salomonsson, Lambert, and Yager are safe
First off is Cole Perfetti, who is having a career year and is only 23 years old. The right winger is on target for 50 points. He's signed through 2026 and is still in Winnipeg's future plan.

Next is Elias Salomonsson, a valued defensive prospect enjoying his rookie year in the AHL with 15 points in 24 games. Top-four upside makes him off-limits. Then there's Brad Lambert, the Jets' No. 2 prospect, off limits even though he's having a subpar year in the AHL. According to Ates, it would take a monumental offer to move him. And finally, Brayden Yager, newly acquired from Pittsburgh, thriving in WHL play with 65 points in 40 games. His cost-effectiveness and potential to be in the top-six means he's all but off-limits. With the impending trade deadline, all eyes turn to see if or if not GM Kevin Cheveldayoff makes a move. As we have seen many times before, regular season play doesn't always equate to success in the playoffs. The Jets will need to make moves if they want to ensure they have enough depth for a deep playoff run. However, it will bring comfort to Jets fans to know that these four players mentioned above are safe.
