The NHL sent official warnings to the Vancouver Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers ahead of the start of round two. The Canucks and the Oilers, the only remaining canadian teams in the playoffs, are set to face off against each other in the second round, which is set to start next Wednesday. Before the puck drops in game one, the NHL thought it would be a good idea to remind the teams about embellishments and how more and more players are using that technique to draw penalties. In the playoffs, powerplays can completely change the outcome of the games. When you have Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl on the PP, drawing a penalty by embellishing, even just a few times, could be a big advantage to the team. <q>Interesting to hear Tocchet say that the NHL had a meeting with the teams today and one of the points of emphasis was embellishment. Snapping heads, falling, I think it's become a lot. I think it's up to the coaches. I don't think you can promote that stuff.
