The broadcaster Ron MacLean made a disrespectful gesture to the Edmonton Oilers live on Sportsnet last night.

Even if Ron MacLean has been working in hockey for nearly 40 years, he still hasn't learned one of the most sacred rule of any locker room: don't throw the team's jersey on the floor.

MacLean was holding an Oilers jersey, and when he was done with it, threw it on the ground.

Kevin Bieksa, a former NHLer, was beside him and immediately told him that he can't throw a jersey on the floor. Another member of the penal added that if it had been in a locker room, he would have been fined.

Check out the full scene in the video below:

"Throwing a jersey on the floor is a fine Ron"

Online, many fans commented on the situation:

MacLean's gesture surely didn't bother the Oilers, who ended up winning the fourth game against the Dallas Stars to even the series at 2.

Bieksa reacted strongly, but most players take these rules very seriously, and as a former player, we can understand where he came from.

Do you think Ron MacLean's gesture with the Edmonton Oilers' jersey was disrespectful?
