Zack Kassian landed a job with the Edmonton Oilers organization after announcing his retirement from the NHL.

It was almost a year ago that Kassian announced his official retirement from the National Hockey League after 12 seasons.

Yesterday, it was revealed that he was hired by the Edmonton Oilers, where he played between 2015 and 2022. He secured a position in the pro scouting department, a role that often leads to bigger opportunities in management positions.

Kassian will be remembered as one of the most entertaining enforcers of his time.

He delivered massive beatings to his opponents over the course of his career and never shied away from hitting their best players.

Here are a few videos of him roughing up Matthew Tkachuk, John Tavares, and Nathan MacKinnon.

In the last stretch of his career, he took a massive beating, showing that the enforcer job in the NHL isn't easy when new guys come up and want to earn the respect of the hockey world.

That's what happened in 2022 with the Montreal Canadiens' Arber Xhekaj.

Check it out:

During his NHL journey, where he played for the Buffalo Sabres, Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, and Arizona Coyotes, he notably tallied 913 penalty minutes. He also scored 92 goals and 111 assists. He added nine points, including six goals, in 45 playoff games.

We wish him the best as he embarks on this new challenge.
